A Few Things
This "A Few Things" isn't all it was intended to be... I took many pictures on my phone this week (in which I planned to choose from) for this post, but I no longer have them because I lost my phone Friday night. However, these weren't short of inspiring to me anyway.
These Nowhere shoes and the gif itself... incredible
This video by Pierre Debusschere titled "The Lake"
and from Celine Philo's spring 2012 collection... this forest green rabbit fur clutch.

Song of the Day
Everything Merges with the Night-Brian Eno
My apologies for the lack of posts. Here's a little song that works well with my mood today. I hope everyone had lovely thanksgiving feasts; enjoy the tune and the leftovers x

Morning Quote
"I’ve never been lonely. I’ve been in a room — I’ve felt suicidal. I’ve been depressed. I’ve felt awful — awful beyond all — but I never felt that one other person could enter that room and cure what was bothering me…or that any number of people could enter that room. In other words, loneliness is something I’ve never been bothered with because I’ve always had this terrible itch for solitude. It’s being at a party, or at a stadium full of people cheering for something, that I might feel loneliness. I’ll quote Ibsen, “The strongest men are the most alone.” I’ve never thought, “Well, some beautiful blonde will come in here and give me a fuck-job, rub my balls, and I’ll feel good.” No, that won’t help. You know the typical crowd, “Wow, it’s Friday night, what are you going to do? Just sit there?” Well, yeah. Because there’s nothing out there. It’s stupidity. Stupid people mingling with stupid people. Let them stupidify themselves. I’ve never been bothered with the need to rush out into the night. I hid in bars, because I didn’t want to hide in factories. That’s all. Sorry for all the millions, but I’ve never been lonely."

Air-Mer Du Japon
Went to the beach today to relax in the sun and wet my face in with the cool ocean water; felt so good and refreshing. Thanksgiving is coming, and so is my blogs one year anniversary... hmmm :)
"When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused."

Things to Want: Collage
(From left to right)
1. Harness Pleated Dress (not a fan of pleats at all, but I am a fan of the harness as a part of the dress idea).
2. Ice Blue Angora Cardigan because it looks like a comfy grandma sweater I could wear all day.
3. Metal Toe Cap Boots by SHAKUHACHI - been wanting metal tip shoes for awhile, but probably mostly since Elin Kling's metal tip shoes from her collection NOWHERE.
4. Cheetah Pony Hair Backpack by Jeffrey Campbell - I'm not even a fan of Campbell anymore. I understand his concept of making modern shoes affordable, but when everything of his becomes a blatant knockoff in bad taste and quality, it becomes very much less than a desirable thing. BUT I do like this cute little backpack.
5. Laser Cutout Trapeze Dress - I pretty much love everything about this dress. When I clicked on it I thought it was made of cotton, but to my lovely surprise, suede. Doesn't that make it even better? Yes, it certainly does.

Song of the Day
From their newest compilation (which was only released a little over one month ago) MGMT gives us an array of (15 songs to be exact) psychedelic/post-punk infused somber tunes, which by the sound of it, seem nice to snooze to. I'm all for this because I love this kind of music. Do I want something more upbeat like Oracular? Sure, I think everyone who likes MGMT does. But this doesn't disappoint me either. Anyways, what other modern band these days can do such a kick ass cover of a Velvet Underground song? Enjoy x
P.S.
Let's make this a double:

STONEFOX is a brand new magazine made by the same publishers of SUMMERWINTER. The magazine is said to gear towards simplicity whilst still focusing in on people, stories, fashion and design. Since the magazine is still in the works, there is yet to be a website or an issue on hand, but do not fret! I love The Sartorialist's new feature "All the Pretty Photographers"
It's interesting, as well as familiar, to see all the ways a photographer will bend and shape to get the right shot.

Things to Want
This entire outfit by Alexander Wang.
1) Azure blue Moto pants because they look uber comfy and look great with heels
2) Black silk cropped racerback tank that hangs low in the back for added versatility
3) And lastly, the shoes which are no longer available to the Alexander Wang website. BUT! There are a few other's that resemble quite well, like the Black Britt multi buckle cuff heel/sandle.

Song of the Day
The week ahead from where I'm sitting looks a little overwhelming. Since the semester is coming to a close, everything is cracking, or should I say crashing down even quicker. At this I am glad because it means christmas break is right around the corner, meaning plenty of time to rest and get my head in order for the semester to come. But it's also pretty awful when I'm already feeling drained and stressed with still a little over one month to go. Anyways, this weekend was nice. I thought this song would be a great close to it all on this Sunday morning. A calm and peaceful tune by Adan Jodorowsky (or better/musically known as Adanowsky) featuring Devendra Banhart. The two collaborated to form their soon to come album "Amador". I first heard the song about a year and a half ago and had it on repeat for days. Now it's a feature on Nowness.com, in which the two are interviewed, which probably means the album is very soon to come. Hope you enjoy x
